Joe cracked a hammer after hitting it wrong on the anvil. The hammer was one used by students in the forge, and had suffered a lot of abuse before Joe's missed hit.

Joe worked at the dam over the summer keeping the grates clean. He went out every morning to rake the grates to make sure the water would flow uninterrupted to the turbines.

When the water was high it rushed over the dam and made a pretty waterfall.

The generators for the dam were huge. I had never been that close to working generators before.
