Forging in New Hampshire

A time honored role of the blacksmithing craft has been that of the apprentice. The next 3 months will be spent in New Hampshire working at Greenfield Forge working in this role. Getting the opportunity to apprentice with different smiths every summer is an exciting prospect. There is so much that can be learned from each new experience and different aspect of the craft that can be seen and taught. While working here, I have so far learned about the art of diversifying. Vinny Anfuso is a very busy man, and this has offered the opportunity for many unique learning opportunities. I am grateful to be up here this summer and plan to take advantage of all his knowledge and learn as much as I can.
