Log Dogs and Order

This week Joe worked on an order for log dogs. Don't know what those are? neither did I. Its basically a giant staple that holds logs still while you are plaining or fitting them together, like for a log cabin. I'm mostly amused but the name. But also a little amused by that fact that the people using them are usually doing so to hold the log still because they are on top of the log... so that is a new thing we learned this week.

Joe also got to spend more time doing time honored apprentice work, and helped to reorganized large portions of the shop. Mainly he got to lift all the really heavy stuff such as the anvils, and metal work that need to go on top shelfs. Good thing the ladder is really sturdy.
